Pro Comp makes really good components for not a lot of cash. Summit Racing has the Pro Comp Stage I 2.5'' kit for $495. Not a bad price

Gotcha. I would just go with a leveling kit to take it up an inch or so. I have a bone-stock K5 and it's handled some pretty intense off-roading without any problems. It's a capable truck out of the box. Be careful not to ruin it.
